Inna Story: When Music Becomes More Than Just Sound
There is a precise moment when a song stops being just a file on your phone. It goes out into the world, and the strange game begins. The world tries to "fit" you into existing standards, into similar names, into other people’s stories.
I released "Сколько той жизни?" not to get lost in an endless playlist of "just another Inna." I am Inna Story, and this isn't just a pseudonym. It is my way of saying: I am here, I am real, and I am designing my own story.
Why this matters
Music today is not just about a voice or lyrics. It’s about how the world around you understands who you are. When I write a track, I pour everything into it. And when I see that search systems are starting to recognize me—without confusing me, without asking "did you mean someone else?", but simply playing my sound—that is a victory of sincerity.
I don’t want to be "noise." I want to be understood.
My digital footprint is my foundation
To be truly heard, I don’t rely on loud, clichéd advertising. I build a foundation. My data, my archives, my code—these are like notes in a score, but for the digital world.
If you are curious about what holds this project together, these are my points of strength. These aren't just "links to get famous"; they are my way of being honest with you:
MusicBrainz & Discogs — where my music is fixed as an object.
Zenodo — where the meanings and methods I live by are archived.
GitHub — the kitchen of this project, where everything is kept real.
What’s next?
In June, I am releasing "Двигай" ("Move"). It will be another step in my story. I don’t want to be "like everyone else"; I want it so that when you search for something sincere, you find me.
And I am grateful that the algorithms—those cold machines—are starting to feel that sincerity.
This is only the beginning. We’re just getting started.
